Trey Breckenridge is the Director of High Performance Computing at the Mississippi State University High Performance Computing Collaboratory (HPC2), where he is responsible for the oversight of computing, data storage, data communications, and general operations. He has over 30 years of professional experience in high performance computing and computer support.
Mr. Breckenridge is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, the Association for Computing Machinery, and InfraGard. He serves on the IEEE/ACM Supercomputing Conference executive committee, is MSU's representative for the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation (CASC), is the MSU Campus Champion associated with the NSF XSEDE program, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Cray User's Group.
Mr. Breckenridge is also the Oktibbeha County, MS appointee to the Golden Triangle Regional Airport Authority Board, where he currently serves as chairman. He is a former commander of the Civil Air Patrol's (USAF Auxiliary) Golden Triangle Composite Squadron and currently holds the Director of Flight Operations and Director of Information Technology positions for the Mississippi Wing. He is a licensed pilot with over 500 hours of PIC time in support of CAP missions. Mr. Breckenridge is also a past Honorary Commander of the USAF's 14th Communications Squadron, based at Columbus Air Force Base.
Trey's hobbies include aviation, hunting, and golf. He is also an active member of the Starkville Rotary Club.
