Welcome to the 2014 CyberBridges WorkshopLeading cyberinfrastructure researchers will gather for a workshop in Arlington, VA, on June 2-3, 2014, to initiate new collaborations, encourage networking, and to provide guidance on how to further build the community of cyberinfrastructure researchers. The effort is funded by the National Science Foundation’s Division of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (ACI). Coordination of the NSF-funded workshop is a joint effort by Mississippi State University and Purdue University, and is drawing top cyberinfrastructure faculty from prestigious institutions in the nation to present and discuss challenges and research results in specific areas.
The objective of this workshop is to bring together the community of NSF ACI CAREER researchers to initiate new collaborations, encourage networking, and to provide guidance to NSF on how to further build the community of cyberinfrastructure researchers. This workshop will feature keynote speakers, panels, and poster submissions from five critical areas of cyberinfrastructure:
- Interdisciplinary Research and Grand Challenges in Cyberinfrastructure,
- Computational- and Data-enabled Science and Engineering,
- High Performance Computing,
In addition to the keynote sessions and the discussions that will follow, there will be a poster session that will serve as a forum for attendees to present work from their CAREER projects in order to facilitate new connections and collaborations among researchers.
